On a Journey to my native..

On a journey to my native,
To meet a relative,
I recalled this verse of the Qur'an,
'Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibān'?*.

Beautiful Creations of God,
All that I saw,
Dazzled the eye,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

Enthralling were the sight,
As the sun shined bright,
Clear was the sky,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

The lush green grass,
The numerous flowers,
The mountains high,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

The scores of trees,
The dancing bees,
The river flowing by,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

The chirping birds,
The cattle in herds,
All in harmony,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

The fishes in river,
The green grasshopper,
The colourful butterfly,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

The hard rocks & small pebble,
The big buffalo & spider so feeble,
Everything seemed to celebrate the Lord's Majesty!
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

He feeds us all, He gives us food,
Be it summer or season of cold,
Be it raining or be it dry,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

He gave us so much in abundance,
Neither do we thank Him, nor show obedience,
Verily Allaah, greatest is Your Glory,
I ask myself, 'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

O Allaah truly Only You are everyones Sustainer,
You sent to us the Noble Messenger,
Indeed for the world You made him a Mercy,
I recall the verse, 'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

In perfect shape did He built us all,
In His worship alone are we bound to fall,
He is our Rabb, He is Al Ghani,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

To attain His Pleasure, is our mission,
We pray, we enter Paradise with His Permission,
Forgive my sins, O Allaah, before I die,
'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.

* 'Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibān?'
Is a verse of the Noble Qur'an which can be translated as, 'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?'.
This verse occurs more than 30 times in the Qur'an in Surah Ar-Rehmaan [Chapter: The Entirely Merciful].

Indeed, God Almighty is Merciful and in His Mercy He has Blessed us, but little do we thank Him for that!

How unfortunate are we! Some deny His existence, while others worship and thank something/somone other than Him. While there are others who, believe in Him but do not really worship or thank Him.

Yet there are some fortunate people, who believe in Him, worship Him, thank Him and obey Him! Such are the Successful Ones; both in this world and in the next. Glad tidings for them!
May Allaah make us one of them! Aameen..

Assalaamualaikum,
This is my first poem which I wrote while travelling to my village in November 2009. On my way to the place I saw some beautiful Creations of God and the verse
"'Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibān?'"
(Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?) came to my mind and I ended up writing this.

It somehow came a little late on the blog.. :)
